Hi all,
I have noticed a very strange bug in DOORS 8.2
There are tables showing in the navigation tree ">>Table" but when I click on it the selected object becomes the first object in the module!?!
It is like it simply doesn't exist! Anyone know how to delete these phantom tables?
Thanks.

Just an idea: A long time ago I managed to corrupt a table via DXL by deleting the header or row object while keeping the row object. I don't know how I achieved that, though ... And I seem to remember that those phantom cells appeared in the module just the way you described it.
Back then I hacked the attached script which fixed the problem for me. Since then I didn't have a look at it anymore, so handle with care.
Regards,
Peter

Are you sure you're not in a filtered view?

Hi Guys,
Thanks for help.
Nope, I have no filter on.

Peter's script looks for orphaned cells and rows that have no table object parent, so it would not detect empty tables.
I suspect you just have empty tables, which I have seen before.
Hide table cells by unselecting View > Shoe table cells.
You should then see your "Table>>" object in the main column.
Delete it!

Thanks Tony. They were indedd simply empty tables (no rows or columns). I wrote a simple script to look at all tables and if they had 0 rows deleted them. It dod the trick.
